Exhibit B

DISCLAIMER: Please don't judge too harshly, this is still a MAJOR work in progress.

I'm slightly bruised from kicking myself for not taking an accurate "before" picture, but thanks to Mady, I have something close.
As you can see, moving home was a step down for me in that I moved into the unfinished basement. (The wall you are looking at becomes the Wall-of-Clothes, posted previously). What I would like to draw your attention to is the lighting. It's hard to see, but there is just a regular light bulb (which stays) and next to it, one of those fluorescent tube light fixtures. Terrible, awful, harsh lighting.

So I substituted it with these: (yes, that is a sheet for the bedroom door. Like I said, a step down. Don't fret though, it's on my list) See how much softer and better the lighting is?! My mom says it looks like an old fashioned parlor.

The chandelier on the left is where the fluorescent light was before (you can see the corner of the white dresser in the picture above). Because the room is unfinished, there was no where for me to wire the chandelier as a fixture, so, I re-wired it to be like a lamp, plug and all! Don't be fooled, this makes me sound like some sort of electrical prodigy, but it was shockingly simple.

The polka dot business you see is just wrapping paper covering the ugly galvanized heating duct. Classy joint, eh?!

Aren't those lights just delightful?! I bought them at IKEA about 2 years ago, knowing I would need them. And here we are... in need!

Numero Uno

This isn't necessarily my first project, but the first one to be posted.

See the previous post in regards to my lameness about the "before-after" shots. The best before shot I have for this project is with my Christmas decorations. Too bad, so sad.

This is the back wall of my office... before....
Please excuse the mess down here....

Boring right?
Now... After!:

Mostly all I want to show off is the middle shelf part. The top is still a work in progress (but it would be impossible for me to love my new birdcage [top right] any more than I already do). I wrapped a piece of cardboard in Damask print upholstery fabric and forced it to the back of the cabinet.
TaDa!

That's it. Decorating an office is hard work.

My thoughts are so loud, I can't hear my mouth...

I have fallen off the blogging bandwagon... bad time.

For a quick view into my life, behold the Wall-of-Clothes that is mine and Kalie's:

It is relatively more impressive in person, but you get the idea. This is in addition to some clothes on the shelf on the far left, and a full dresser a piece, and I still have trouble dressing myself satisfactorily. Sick.

I have been working on a few projects that I'm just tickled about, but being the dummy that I am, I think about taking "before" and "after" pictures when I'm about half-way through the project (then for a second, I literally think of how I could quickly put things back the way they were for a pic). What fun is a makeover post if I can't show off my skills?! No matter. Soon enough you will see the Katie Johnson coming out in me.

Yada, Yada, Yada

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year... and all that jazz.

The time for extensive holiday blogging has now past, suffice it to say that Christmas was perfectly quaint and wonderful; complete with the annual matching jammies:
New Years was spent indoors with treats and phase 10, and a simple midnight kiss.
Now it's back to real life. Yippee.
